There can be no mental health without planet health

EMPAUA Salesforce Partner

April 7th is World Health Day. Every year, it raises attention to a different health issue that people all over the world are concerned about.

For 2022, the WHO put their focus on #EarthHealth to call for more critical actions to be undertaken  to keep humans and the planet healthy, as well as creating motivation to develop societies focused on well-being.

After 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have witnessed some powerful impacts of the lockdown on the environment: a significant reduction in global greenhouse gas emissions, a drop in air and noise pollution which resulted from less natural resource extraction and manufacturing...It seemed like nature had started hitting the reset button worldwide. Sadly the ongoing brutal war in Ukraine has worsened the situation 10 fold. So frequently, we keep asking:

Are we able to reimagine a world where clean air, water and food are available to all?

Where economies are focused on health and well-being?

Where cities are liveable and people have control over their health and the health of the planet?”

- WHO

The answer is yes! Even if you are just an individual, a small organisation, or a big corporation, you can leave an impact.

At EMPAUA, not only do we care deeply about our employee’s mental health but also we put daily emphasis on tackling these current environmental issues.

Because we believe that there can be no mental health without planet health.
